Artist Bio
My name is Mike Burke and I’m a photographer and digital artist. I am also known as Mike M Burke in my career as an actor, writer and filmmaker. I got my first camera when I was seven years old, but it wasn’t until I turned 13 that photography—especially landscape photography—became a true passion of mine. No matter where I travel, I always have a camera with me, looking for those moments that deserve to be remembered.
Over the years my creative interests have expanded beyond photography into digital art, allowing me to create original pieces inspired by nature, the coast, the changing seasons, and the darker, moodier side of imagination. Whether I’m behind a camera or creating something new on the computer, my goal is always the same: to create artwork that people are proud to display in their homes.
Besides photography and filmmaking, I’m also an entrepreneur with several online businesses. I have multiple Etsy shops and teach a few Udemy courses. At the end of the day, though, creating art and telling stories through photography and film are still my true passions.

Black Harbor Arts was created from a simple idea: artwork is meant to be seen and enjoyed.
Over the years, my collection of photographs and original artwork continued to grow. From my early days shooting film to today’s digital photography and digital art, I’ve filled countless photo albums, hard drives, and sketchbooks with images and ideas. It always felt like such a shame that so much of that work remained hidden away instead of being enjoyed by others.
That’s what inspired Black Harbor Arts.
There is something incredibly rewarding about knowing that a photograph I captured or a piece of artwork I created has found a home on someone’s wall. Moments that may have otherwise been forgotten get to live on, bringing beauty, inspiration, or a little mystery into homes around the world.
